1957년에 Your Haddar가 작곡하고, Moshe Dor가 작사한 곡으로 이스라엘을 포함한 아랍계에서
널리 불려지고 있는 음악이다. shoshana(쇼산나)는 장미나 백합을 뜻하는 히브리어이며, shoshanim
는 복수를 뜻한다. 이 곡은 Yafa Yarkoni가 처음 노래했다.
60∼70년대에 Harry belafonte· Nana Mouskouri· Miriam Makeba 같은 다른 가수들에 의해
많이 불려졌던 곡이다. Julie Levy의 목소리는 티 하나 없이 맑고 편하다. 순수하고 어떠한 한
에도 사무치지 않은 목소리. 어둠이 내리는 장대밭을 걸어가는 처녀의 목소리, 바로 그것인 것이다.
